PSICOLOGIA NA POLÍCIA MILITAR: desafios do âmbito da cultura organizacional

Resumo

Este artigo tem a finalidade de provocar reflexão sobre alguns desafios da Psicologia na Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais, levando em consideração que importantes aspectos da cultura organizacional distanciam o sujeito da Psicologia, ao invés de aproximálo.
Aspectos relacionados com a infalibilidade, a prontidão, a disciplina e a força se estabelecem como um conjunto de atributos que afastam o sujeito dele mesmo. A atuação da Psicologia, traduzida no acolhimento e na compreensão do policial, voltase
para a identificação de fragmentos inviabilizados nesse contexto cultural com o objetivo de ajudar o sujeito a reconciliar-se consigo. Esse movimento da Psicologia se estabelece como desafiante justamente pelas contradições que dele afloram. O objetivo
deste texto é, portanto, destacar essas contradições a partir de uma perspectiva humanista existencial. A base metodológica prioriza a utilização de registros da experiência profissional dos autores. As considerações finais ressaltam a importância de ampliar as discussões sobre essa temática, a fim de que a Psicologia seja mais valorizada tanto pelos psicólogos, no sentido de assumirem o seu lugar como protagonistas da condução do processo de emancipação do sujeito, quanto pelos dirigentes nos diversos níveis da instituição, por meio do reconhecimento da importância do papel da Psicologia como ciência e profissão.

PSYCHOLOGY IN THE MILITARY POLICE: challenges of the scope of the organizational culture

Abstract: This paper is intended to provoke reflection on some challenges in psychology within the Military Police of Minas Gerais taking into consideration that important aspects of organizational culture tend to keep the subject distant from psychology, instead of bringing them closer together. Aspects of infallibility, readiness, discipline and strength are established as a set of attributes that drive the subject away from himself. The role of psychology, translated in the reception and understanding of the police, turns to the identification of unfeasible fragments in this cultural context, with the aim of helping the individual to reconcile with himself. This movement of psychology is established as defiant especially because of the contradictions that it arises. The purpose of this paper is, therefore, to highlight these contradictions from an existential humanist point of view. The methodological basis prioritizes the use of records of professional experience of the authors. The final considerations highlight the importance of expanding the discussions on this subject, so that psychology is more highly valued not only by psychologists in order to take their place as the protagonist in conducting the subject in the emancipation process but also as the leaders in various levels of the institution, by recognizing the importance of the role of psychology as a science and profession.
