ACADEMIA DE POLÍCIA MILITAR DA POLÍCIA MILITAR DE MINAS GERAIS COMO INSTITUIÇÃO DE ENSINO SUPERIOR: uma análise evolutiva sob a ótica da gestão estratégica

Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma análise do percurso da adoção do modelo de gestão estratégica na Academia de Polícia Militar a partir da sua submissão ao processo de credenciamento como Instituição de Ensino Superior pelo Conselho Estadual de Educação de Minas Gerais. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório sobre as particularidades da implementação da gestão estratégica na
Unidade responsável pela formação profissional da Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais, identificando conquistas e desafios enfrentados nesse intento.

Utilizando de pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e entrevista, discorre sobre o conceito de gestão estratégica, apresenta a história do processo de credenciamento da APM ao longo dos últimos quinze anos e traça considerações sobre as implicações desse modelo na gestão educacional.

Observou-se que, ao longo de quinze anos, houve significativo amadurecimento da gestão escolar a partir da adoção da gestão estratégica.

MILITARY POLICE ACADEMY OF THE MILITARY POLICE OF MINAS GERAIS AS INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION: an evolutionary analysis from the point of view of strategic management

Abstract: This article seeks to analyze the course of the adoption of the strategic management model at the Military Police Academy, from its submission to the accreditation process by the State Board of Education of Minas Gerais. It is an exploratory study on the particularities of the implementation of the strategy management in a higher education institution, identifying faced achievements and challenges in this attempt at body responsible for vocational training of the Military Police of Minas Gerais. Using bibliographical, documentary and interview research, discusses the concept of strategic management, the accreditation process of APM over the last fifteen years and outlines considerations about the implications of this management model in educational management. It as observed that over fifteen years there has been a significant maturation of school management with the adoption of strategic management.
