Resumo: Este ensaio pretende elucidar, por meio de reflexão crítica e de relatos de pacientes, o lugar da Psicologia Clínica na prevenção aos agravos na saúde mental de policiais militares. A lógica do capital é questionada através da contraposição existente
entre o valor mensurável e o valor efetivo da prática psicoterapêutica na Polícia Militar de Minas Gerais (PMMG), proporcionando o debate construtivo sobre o lugar e o valor peculiar do Oficial psicólogo na vida de seu paciente militar, bem como seus reflexos para a Instituição.

THE PLACE OF CLINICS IN THE PREVENTION OF AGGRESSES IN MENTAL HEALTH: how to measure what "does not occur"

Abstract: This essay aims to elucidate, by means of critical thinking and discussion of patients reports, the role of clinical psychology in the prevention of the aggravation of mental illness in military police officers. The logic of the capital is questioned by comparing the measurable value and effectiveness of psychotherapeutic practice inside the military corporation PMMG, making room for a constructive debate about the place and the value of a official psychologist in the life of his military patient, as well as its reflection in the military institution.
